P-Visas: Athletes, Artisits And Entertainers (General)

P-1A:

The P-1A visa is designed for individuals or teams coming to the U.S. to compete in athletic events. This classification is applicable to athletes participating either individually or as part of a team.

P-1B:

The P-1B visa is designated for entertainers coming to the U.S. as part of an internationally recognized entertainment group. The group must have demonstrated significant achievements and sustained excellence in their field.

Both P-1A and P-1B visas are granted for a maximum period of one year. For entertainment groups, it is also required that there has been a continuous and substantial relationship with the group for at least one year.

P-2: Individual/Group Artist/Entertainer under Reciprocal Exchange Program:

The P-2 visa is available to distinguished artists or performers who are participating in an exchange program between U.S. and foreign organizations. This visa is granted when the visiting artist's skills are comparable to those of the American artist involved in the exchange program abroad.

P-3: Artists or Entertainers in Culturally Unique Program

The P-3 visa is intended for individuals or groups coming to the U.S. temporarily to engage in teaching, coaching, or performing. This category is specifically for those involved in culturally unique artistic presentations, including folk, ethnic, musical, or theatrical performances that emphasize and promote a particular art form.

P-4: Spouse or Child of P-1, P-2, or P-3 Visa Holders

The P-4 visa allows the spouse and children of P-1, P-2, or P-3 visa holders to accompany or join the principal visa holder in the U.S.
