Video Game Designer

Job brief

DYPROCS is searching a Video Game Designer for a USA based employer to join the company as a full-time permanent employee and relocate at the employer's location to the U.S.A.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing core features of video games. Specify innovative game and role-play mechanics, story lines, and character biographies. Create and maintain design documentation. Guide and collaborate with production staff to produce games as designed. This position requires clear communication internally and externally, strong organizational skills, resiliency, and a solution focused mindset!


Responsibilities:

        Conceptualize and design game mechanics, levels, and features that enhance player engagement and enjoyment.

        Create detailed design documentation that outlines gameplay systems, user interfaces, and progression elements.

        Collaborate with artists and programmers to ensure design vision is effectively implemented.

        Playtest and iterate on game designs based on feedback and analytics to improve user experience.

        Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative ideas into game design.

        Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.

        Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the creative process of game development.

 

Proficiency & Skills:

        Must have 3+ years of work experience in video game design or development.

        Strong understanding of game mechanics, level design, and user experience principles.

        Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Photoshop).

        Creativity in designing gameplay systems.

        Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python) is a plus.

        Familiarity with project management tools and agile development methodologies.

        Understanding of game monetization strategies and player retention techniques.

        A portfolio showcasing previous game design projects or contributions.

        Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

        Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

        Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

        Soft skills required - strong drive, persistence, consistency, organization, time management, written and verbal communication.

        Flexible mindset focused on delivering quality deliverables on tight deadlines.

        Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

        Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

        Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.

 

Education:

        Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science or related field.

 

Salary:

        Will be determined based on the experience & knowledge

 

Must To:

        Selected candidate must relocate to U.S.A after completing all U.S.A visa requirements

        Selected candidate must perform day to day job duties physically.
