Solar Energy Systems Engineer

Job brief

DYPROCS is searching Solar Energy Systems Engineer for a USA based employer to join the company as a full-time permanent employee and relocate at the employer's location to the U.S.A.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing site-specific engineering analysis or evaluation of energy efficiency and solar projects involving residential, commercial, or industrial customers. Design solar domestic hot water and space heating systems for new and existing structures, applying knowledge of structural energy requirements, local climates, solar technology, and thermodynamics. This position requires clear communication internally and externally, strong organizational skills, resiliency, and a solution focused mindset!

 

Responsibilities:

·         Design and optimize solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) and thermal systems.

·         Conduct feasibility studies and energy assessments to determine project viability.

·         Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.

·         Analyze and select appropriate solar technologies and components for projects.

·         Perform system modeling and simulations using software tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope).

·         Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, installation guidelines, and operation manuals.

·         Conduct site assessments and system performance evaluations.

·         Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in solar technology.

·         Provide technical support during project implementation and troubleshooting.

·         Participate in research and development initiatives to improve system efficiency and reliability.

 

Proficiency & Skills:

·         Must have 3+ years of work experience in solar energy system design and engineering.

·         Must have extensive experience and knowledge specifically in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, SketchUp).

·         Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles related to solar energy systems.

·         Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).

·         Project management experience is a plus.

·         Certification from a recognized solar energy organization (e.g., NABCEP) is preferred.

·         Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

·         Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

·         Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.

·         Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

·         Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

·         Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.

·         Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

·         Soft skills required - strong drive, persistence, consistency, organization, time management, written and verbal communication.

·         Flexible mindset focused on delivering quality deliverables on tight deadlines.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

·         Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

·         Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.

 

Education:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.

 

Salary:

·         Will be determined based on the experience & knowledge

 

Must To:

·         Selected candidate must relocate to U.S.A after completing all U.S.A visa requirements

·         Selected candidate must perform day to day job duties physically.
