Mining and Geological Engineers/ Mining Safety Engineers

Job brief

DYPROCS is searching Mining and Geological Engineers, Including Mining Safety Engineers for a USA based employer to join the company as a full-time permanent employee and relocate at the employer's location to the U.S.A.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting subsurface surveys to identify the characteristics of potential land or mining development sites. May specify the ground support systems, processes, and equipment for safe, economical, and environmentally sound extraction or underground construction activities. May inspect areas for unsafe geological conditions, equipment, and working conditions. May design, implement, and coordinate mine safety programs. This position requires clear communication internally and externally, strong organizational skills, resiliency, and a solution focused mindset!

 

Responsibilities:

·         Design and Planning:

Develop and implement mining plans and strategies.

Conduct geological surveys and analyze geological data.

Create models to simulate mining operations.

·         Safety Management:

Develop and enforce safety protocols and standards.

Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.

Provide training and guidance on safety practices to staff.

·         Operational Oversight:

Monitor mining operations to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Collaborate with geologists and other engineers to optimize production efficiency.

Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

·         Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Maintain accurate records of geological and operational data.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.

·         Research and Development:

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mining technology.

Participate in research projects to improve mining techniques and safety measures.

 

Proficiency & Skills:

·         Must have 3+ years of work experience in mining or geological engineering or a similar role.

·         Must have extensive experience and knowledge specifically in mining software (e.g., AutoCAD, Surpac, Vulcan).

·         Strong knowledge of mining safety management.

·         Professional Engineer (PE) license.

·         Mining Safety Certification (e.g., MSHA, OSHA).

·         Ability to work in remote locations and various weather conditions.

·         May require travel to project sites.

·         Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

·         Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

·         Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

·         Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

·         Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

·         Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

·         Soft skills required - strong drive, persistence, consistency, organization, time management, written and verbal communication.

·         Flexible mindset focused on delivering quality deliverables on tight deadlines.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

·         Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

·         Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.

 

Education:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.

 

Salary:

·         Will be determined based on the experience & knowledge

 

Must To:

·         Selected candidate must relocate to U.S.A after completing all U.S.A visa requirements

·         Selected candidate must perform day to day job duties physically.
